Loan description:
Net Khom is 46 years old and married with four children. His children are aged between 2 and 12 years old and presently his three elder children attend the local primary school. They live in Watchoeng village, which is in Sangke district, Battambang province. Net and his wife, Nary Soun, own a threshing machine and have been providing rice threshing services for over four years. They are currently very busy since the villagers are cultivating their rice. During this busy period they have hired two villagers to help them. Since they have been busy they have noticed that their threshing machine isn't performing very well and to keep up with the demand for their services they have borrowed a six month loan in order to fix their threshing machine. They also plan to raise some pigs from their home after they finish threshing rice for villagers (the photographs show Net's wife and their youngest child)
