Shahnaz Bibi is 30 year old and inhabitant of Kasur. She is mother of three sons and three daughters. Four of her children are getting education while two are not of schooling age. Her husband works and he earns on average 7,000 rupees per month (about $68). Shahnaz un-stitches damaged and used sweaters and make yarn and then put it on big cones and reels which she then sells to power looms. She runs a yarn extracting business and use traditional wooden machine (called charkha) for extracting the yarn. She earns about 6,000 rupees per month (around $58). She buys damaged sweaters from local markets. She requested a loan to use as working capital. She would like to make more yarn reels and earn better. She intends to repay the loan in 14 installments.
