Loan description:
Leda Mata is 67 years old and single. She lives in the neighbourhood of Mancilang which is in the town of Madridejos, Cebu province. Though she does not have any dependents, she shares some of her blessings with her close relatives like nephews and nieces. In order to have a source of income for her daily living needs, Leda single-handedly manages a hog raising business which is located in an area adjacent to her house. She has provided a small but wide area for the hogs. It is made of concrete and properly protected by a well-built roof to ensure the safety of the animals. After the hogs have been fully-raised and fattened, she then sells them to various meat dealers and suppliers in the nearby public market. This has been her business for the past three years and she is happy to have an everyday activity that keeps her busy. Leda sought the assistance of the microfinance organisation, First Consolidated Cooperative, to help her buy more feed and vitamins for the hogs. She also plans to build a new pig pen if given the opportunity. Some of her earnings will be saved in her deposit account which she has with FCCT. She has been a member of the institution for twelve months. Leda promised to repay the loan over a short period of two months.
