Thida Meach is 46 years old and married with six children. Her children are aged between 7 and 20 years old and the five younger ones are all still at school. They live in Cheng village, which is in Banon district, Battambang province. Thida’s husband, Sarun Chea, is a soldier. To earn extra income for the household, Thida has applied for a 12 month loan in order to run a new business as a supplier of water to her village. In this business, Thida needs a great working capital in order to build the tanks that enable water to be supplied to the whole village. In addition to this enterprise, Thida also offers a vehicle cleaning service from her home.
