Loan description:

Eusebio Villacarlos is 60 years old and married with three children. All of his children have their own families, however he still supports some of their financial needs especially the needs of his two grandchildren who are aged 9 and 4. His wife, Gerarda who is 67, is a full-time housewife. After working as an overseas worker for a long time to provide his children with a good education, Eusebio has decided to engage in the hog raising business. The business is located on a vacant lot beside their house in Bunakan, Madridejos, Cebu province. He has built a small facility on the lot where the hogs he raises can stay comfortably. He cleans the area regularly to prevent possible diseases. He also maintains a small water system where he stores clean water for his hogs. Once the hogs are fully-raised and fattened, he then sells them to different suppliers of pork in the town. Eusebio considers his business as his way of serving his community by producing healthy and low-priced hog meat. The microfinance organisation, First Consolidated Cooperative, approved Eusebio's request for a larger loan so he could finance the acquisition of feed and vitamins for his hogs. A part of the loan will be used to improve the facilities of his business and to buy better breeds of hogs. The income Eusebio's hog business generates will be used for his family’s daily needs and most importantly of all, the upcoming studies of his grandchildren. He wishes to repay the amount over twelve months. Eusebio has been an active member of FCCT for the past four years.
