Irfan Shoukat requested a loan to buy UPS (uninterruptible power supply). The reason he needs a UPS is because he uses an electric sewing machine for sewing clothes.
Irfan Shoukat lives in Baghbanpura, an area of Lahore. He is 44 years old and married with two sons and two daughters. All of his children are getting education. Irfan has been doing tailoring for 20 years. He is a famous tailor in his area and he sews the latest designs of gents’ clothes, locally called ‘shalwar kameez’ and ‘kurta’. He started learning tailoring some years ago and he is now a very good tailor. He is only earning hand from his house and manages to earn 22,000 rupees per month. He is facing problem with electricity break down. He uses mechanical sewing machine and when electricity get down his work get stopped. He is really worried about it. Due to this reason he could not able to meet the customer deadlines. He requested for a loan to buy UPS as electricity backup. In some countries there can be power cuts several times a day and can last up to an hour or more. With the help of a UPS work can carry on for an hour or two. He believes it very really help him.
