Sakina Bibi lives in Kahna Nou, Lahore. She is 44 years old, married and has three sons and two daughters. Two of his children go to school, while the others have got some education. Sakina’s husband is a carpenter and earns on average about 20,000 rupees (approx $196) per month. He is the only bread winner in his house. He makes chairs, tables, windows, kitchen cabinets and cupboards. In fact, he makes everything depending on what orders he receives from his customers. Her older sons of ages 20-22 also work with their father. They are just managing their household expenses. However, the problems they face are lack of timber and other supplies, which holds her husband from responding quickly to orders. Customers only pay in full upon completion of their orders. Sakina requested a loan in order to buy more wood, polish, glue and nails. She promises to repay the loan in 14 installments. She is applying for the loan on behalf of her husband because her husband has no ID card.
