Marie Houndevi, 46, is a married mother of eight - two biological children and six stepchildren. She works in the catering industry and her main dishes are rice and tomatoes, akassa (a form of porridge) and ‘pâte blanche’ with sauce. Aside from this, Marie sells coolboxes, kitchen utensils, plates and coal, and has also been rearing pigs for almost three years. She has a large plot of scrubland, which is well situated in the area where she lives. She buys her stock from the Dantokpa market in southern Benin and sells her products to the residents of her local area. Marie’s children help her with these activities. Having received loans from the ACFB for several years, she is now requesting a loan of 500,000 West African francs in order to support her business and better meet the needs of her customers. Any profit made as a result of this loan would allow her to help her husband pay their children’s tuition fees and invest in the growth of her business, with the aim of selling material, women’s handbags and shoes in the future.

A cette activité, Dame HOUNDEVI ajoute le commerce des glacières, des ustensiles de cuisine, des assiettes, du charbon mais aussi elle fait l’élevage des porcs depuis près de 03 ans. Marie dispose d’un grand maquis bien installée dans son quartier. Elle s’approvisionne sur le marché Dantokpa. Elle revend ses produits aux habitants du quartier. Dame HOUNDEVI se fait assister par ses enfants. Bénéficiaire des produits de l’ACFB depuis plusieurs années, elle sollicite un prêt d’un montant de 500.000 FCFA pour assurer son commerce et mieux servir sa clientèle. Le profit tiré de ce prêt l’aiderait à assister son mari dans les charges scolaires des enfants, aussi à économiser pour élargir son commerce afin de vendre aussi des tissus, des sacs à main des dames puis des chaussures.
