Luz Hilda Robalino Lapo has almost fully repaid her loan which she received in 2012, she has just two monthly repayments to make. This is her sixth loan with the microfinance organisation Fundacion FACES. Luz used the money to buy more jewellery, traditional bags and beads to sell at the various fairs, festivals and weekly markets where she has her stall. She reckons that by buying and selling the latest styles her income increased over recent months. She has diversified somewhat and now additionally sells socks, trousers, cosmetics, handbags and even toys. Luz considers she makes a weekly profit of around $100. She lives with her husband in her own home. They earn a little more by renting out various rooms in their home as well.
