Kokou Pierre Djayikpo is 40 years old and married with three children aged between 2 and 8. Only the first two children attend school. They all reside in the district of Agbo Camp in Atakpame. He began a business that provides photography and video services in 2003. His shop is called 'Prince Photo Video' and is located by the side of the main road leading to Atakpame. It is a well established and successful business and he has already received and repaid two loans each of 300,000 West African francs to the microfinance institution WAGES. He has applied for a third loan of the same amount in order to purchase supplies and photographic equipment. Specifically, 60,000 francs will be used to buy film, 100,000 francs to buy photo paper and 140,000 francs to buy frames and prints. In the long run, Pierre would like to create a photographic laboratory for developing not only his own photographs but those of others in the town. He intends to repay the loan in 12 months.
