Angela is a 57 year old woman. She is married with 4 children, all students. 2 of her children are still small. Angela was in the business of selling pies and donughts but had to abandon this activity because she was suffering from sore eyes. But more recently, she started to sell drinking water in plastic bags to her neighbourhood both retail and wholesale. She employs 2 people to assist in the business. She buys the water directly from the National Water Company of Benin (SONEB) and in the international market of Cotonou she buys the bags. She sells the drinking water bags in her shop. Angela has been a customer of the ACFB and has received several services for ten years. At present, she is requesting a loan to replenish her stock and to ensure the business is serving the customers well. The profit will be invested in the education of the children and "to improve my social status" she says proudly
