Parts of the local population, particularly the foreigners settled there, are quite affluent. It is renowned for the longevity of its people due to the climate and healthy diet of the local population. Yolanda has been running the shop for the last three years. Her father helped her start the shop - he has another shop which he runs in the town centre and she helped to attend to customers when she was younger. Yolanda requested a loan in order to buy stock in bulk for the shop. Buying in bulk means that she can obtain discounts from the suppliers. She intends to repay the loan over 18 months.
