Loan description:

Ros Chhoum is 31 years old. He is married to Mrs. Chenda (showed in the photographs at their farm). They live in Battambang province. They harvest rice for sale in around three hectares and their crops yield around two tons per hectare. Their farm does not have an irrigation system. However to increase their income, they also grow green beans and water melon on the same land during the month of January of every year after they have harvested their rice. Ros Choum and his wife have applied for a twelve months loan in order to have enough working capital to purchase one or more plots of land to produce more rice, watermelon and green beans. In this way they will have four hectares of farming land and this will allow them to continue in business. The income from this is used to cover their next farming and their household daily expenses.
