Once ready it is kept fresh in banana or teak tree leaves. Amelie buys maize in Parakou town. Her customers are local. Amelie has been a member of the microfinance institution ACFB for some time and she has always repaid her loans. At present, she is requesting a new loan to buy 12 or more bags of 100 Kg of maize each to sell semi wholesale and to produce akassa.
