Leocadie is a married woman with 3 children, all of them at school. Leocadia is 43 years old. Years ago, she was studying at college but she had to leave it but managed to take up a tailoring course instead. Leocadia has been sewing for over 10 years and she has managed to generate some income out of this. Later on, she learned to make soap and she started to produce and sell liquid soap at home as soon as she received the training. She adds to her income by selling palm nut and producing red palm oil. She hires 5 people to help with all these activities. She buys the palm nuts in the fields near Kpanroun village and sells all her products at the market of Zinvie. Leocadia has been a member of the microfinance institution ACFB. She has received several loans and she has repaid them all. At present, she is requesting $1000 as a loan. She intends to buy all the required products to manufacture liquid soap and also she intends to buy palm nuts and red palm oil wholesale. The profit she will make will allow her to increase her capital, she will continue saving to buy her own plot one day. She will also help her husband with the children’s school fees.
