Loan description:

José Herrera is from the city of Loja. He is 27 and the fifth of ten children. After completing four years of secondary school in the Hernán Gallado Moscoso college, he left to work in a friend's garage in the capital city of Quito. He worked there for two years before returning to Loja for family reasons. He is now married with two children and his wife is expecting their third child. José's wife works from home raising chickens. He applied for a loan in order to buy food for the birds. They had to prematurely sell chickens previously because they did not have sufficient feed to raise them to maturity and thereby obtain a better price. He intends to repay the loan over seven months.
