Edita Devic is 56 years old and married with two children. She lives with her family in the village of Brnjaci near the small town of Kiseljak in central Bosnia and Herzegovina. Both children are still students. Edita is an artist and makes a living from selling her paintings. She paints all kind of pictures including landscapes, portraits and still life. She has a lot of orders and is actually quite well-known. The business brings her a good regular income that enables her to cover most household expenses, including educational fees which have risen as her children have grown older. Edita confesses that she is very fortunate because she earns a living from something that she loves to do anyway. Edita has been a very good client of microcredit foundation 'Women for Women International' since 2004 and applied for a new loan in order to help purchase new equipment including brushes, canvas and paints. The loan is for 18 months.
