Loan description:
Ami Koli is 43 and lives in the neighbourhood of Avedji located in the capital city of Lomé. Ami 's husband is a printer. They have three children aged between 12 and 24. The eldest works while the younger two are still in school. Ami sells cereals, including maize and beans, and condiments from a shop next to where she lives. She has had this business since 2002. Ami wants to buy new stock in bulk (and therefore at a cheaper price) and applied for a loan of 500,000 West African francs. The loan is for 12 months. Ami hopes that the business will generate greater revenue in the future so that she can help her husband to finance their children's continued education.
