Pai Eng is 32 years old and married to Mrs Loum (who is in the photographs). Pai and Loum have three children who are aged between 6 and 2 years old and only their oldest child is presently at school. They live in Sneng Lech village, which is in Banon district, Battambang province. Pai and his wife have been running a general store from their home for the past ten years. They sell a variety of products including white sugar, salt, cooking oil, soft drinks and gasoline. To meet the demand of their customers, they have applied for a loan in order to buy new stock. They aim to expand their business and broaden the variety of their products. They aim to repay this loan over ten months.
