Nada

Loan description:

Nada Lozo is 47 years old and married with one daughter who attends the local secondary school. She lives in a village called Kutilivac near the city Mostar in south-western Bosnia and Herzegovina. Her husband works as construction worker when the weather permits. Nada has found it difficult to obtain salaried employment very difficult so she decided to start raising livestock. She has one cow and around 40 sheep. She produces milk, homemade cheese and wool and also sells the animals for their meat from time to time. Additionally, she has a smallholding where she grows vegetables, mainly potatoes, onions and beans which she then sells at the local market. She has recently applied for a loan at the microcredit foundation 'Women for Women International' for the very first time. She requires the loan because she wants to buy seeds, fertiliser, and plough the land ready for planting.
