Hajrija Hodzic is 68 years old and a widow. She lives with her sister in a small town called Zivinice near to the city of Tuzla. Her sister is ill and Hajrija is taking care of her. Hajrija has a pension but it is very small one and she had to start a business in sewing. She makes all kind of items such as trousers, dresses, coats alongside other orders that she receives. Besides sewing she knits and crochets scarves, gloves, hats, sweaters and tablecloths for example. She is well known where she lives and has a lot of customers. She managed to develop her business in a short period of time and is very pleased with it. Hajrija has been a very good client of the microcredit foundation Women for Women International for the last six years. She applied for a new loan. She needs her loan in order to buy a new sewing machine. She is a very nice and cheerful person.
