Loan description:

Edina Salihovic is 27 years old and married. She lives with her husband and two children in Srebrenica. Her husband works as a policeman in Srebrenica and one of their children goes to primary school. Edina started a business in farming several years ago. She has a smallholding near her house where she grows vegetables such as potatoes, beans, onions and tomatoes. She also makes homemade jam from plums, and apples. For each product she receives orders from local people and neighbours. She expanded her business and is very satisfied and pleased with it. This business brings in an income that is significant for her family, especially now that her daughter has started to go to school. She is able to cover the expenses of schooling and the household. She has already had three loans from the microcredit foundation Women for Women International and has applied for another because she needs to buy seeds for sowing and prepare her soil for plowing. She is planning to make a small greenhouse in the spring.
